How are sub domains counted?
There are two cases to count subdomains.

If you are planning to implement the same cookie banner for your domain and sub-domain/domains, then you do  not need to think it twice, you can display the same cookie banner for unlimited sub-domains.

In case you want to display different cookie banner for your domain and sub-domain/domains, then you need to add your sub-domain URL as separate domain.

How long does it take to scan my website?
It may take a few minutes or a few hours to complete the scanning of your website, as it all depends upon the number of pages and the speed of the website to be scanned.

Do you automatically detect special cookies?
Yes, we do automatically detect special cookies subject to our extensive cookie database.

Special cookies are used for multiple cookies with the same name but different UID. Use "*" as a wildcard value for randomly generated identifiers having the same purpose/categorization. For example, Use _gat* for Google Analytic Cookies _gat_UA-XXXXXXX-1 or _gat_UA-XXXXXXX-2. Learn more

Do you have automatic cookie categorization feature?
We have the feature of automatic cookie categorization. After the scanning is done, your website cookies will be auto-categorized subject to our extensive cookie database and a list of all the cookies along with its detailed description will be displayed in the Preference Center. Learn more

How many languages are available for cookie consent banner?
Mandatly provides cookie banner in 7 (seven) languages till date and is continuously working to include more languages. The seven languages are English, Portuguese (BR), Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Check here

Does your CMP work with websites and apps?
Currently our CMP works with websites, and not with android or IOS apps. But you don’t need to worry as we are continuously thriving to make it android or IOS apps friendly.

Do you have custom consent expiration time?
We currently do not have custom consent expiration time, but we have set a default consent expiry of 12 months. Also, you can anytime ask for the reconsent of the users by enabling this option from Scan Settings.

How can I display the cookie banner in only single region?

To display cookie banner only for single region, visit Banner Rules. In banner rule details section, turn off the banner visibility for global template and add a banner rule detail for the region you want to show banner in. Learn more 

How can I display different cookie banners for different regions?
To display different cookie banners for different regions, visit Banner Rules. In banner rule details section, you can add multiple templates with separate Geo-locations.

How can I display the cookie banner again for the existing users who has given their consent before?

You can display the cookie banner again for the existing users who has given their consent before by enabling the option “Reconsent website user” from scan settings. This will automatically show the banner to the visitors again if there is any change in the list of cookies. Learn more

How to automatically block third party cookies?
Copy pasting the banner script on your website is never enough to enable the prior blocking of cookies before user consent is obtained.

Block the whole third-party functionality for blocking the third-party cookies. This means that Google Analytics / YouTube videos / Facebook buttons / AdSense or anything else you have blocked will not work until the user consent is obtained.

Can core functionality cookies be excluded from blocking?

You can exclude core functionality/ essential cookies from blocking by visiting Cookie categories.

Just select the category which you want to exclude from blocking and set them as required category.

How to get a list of cookies for Cookie Notice?

You can show a list of cookies in your Cookie Notice by using the Cookie Declaration Code. You can use the script to show the detailed cookie summary discovered from your website on your website's cookie notice/policy page. Learn more
